This time, I decided to share in English. Just because.

1. I don’t like parties. I’m an introvert person but I pretend to be an extrovert. Don’t know why..
2. I don’t wear my wedding ring. Jimz doesn’t either.
3. I have hyperthyroidism. It made my weight drop 5 kg in just 1 month (3 years ago). I have been on medication for 3 years. I weigh a lot more now, that my thyroid hormon is “under control”.
4. My left eye is slightly bigger than my right eye. It’s because of hyperthyroidism I’m having.
5. I wear contact lenses. I have bad eyes since I was in 5th grade.
6. I’m afraid of chickens! A chicken once chased me on my way to school (elementary school) and I ran like hell.
7. I learn English by listening. Listening to music.
8. The first ghost movie that frightened me most was The Ring (japanese version). Sadako was CREEPY ! I used to watch ghost and horror movies, but after The Ring, I’m scared of ghost movies. I even sleep with the lights on after I watched The Ring.
9. Jimz and I met over a chat room. Apparently, we went to the same Junior and High School, without even knowing each other. He was my senior. How strange was that !
10. I astral-traveled once. I “went” to a friend’s house. I never saw what it looked like, I’ve never been there before. But after I “went” there, I could describe his house in detail.
11. I had a puppy once. Her name was Hana, and we used to call her Nana. She was 2 months old when Jimz gave her to me as a birthday present. She was kept at Jimz’ house because my parents wouldn’t let me have my own dog. She died 1 week after she was brought to Jimz’ house. She died in my arms. I cried in front of 2 of Jimz’ friends.
12. I had my own drowning experience. I was in 3rd grade and the spectacular event took place in a hotel in Jogjakarta on family vacation. After that, my dad decided: “his children should be able to swim !” and took me and my brothers for a swimming lesson every week for years.
13. Remember Santa Barbara, the oooolllldddd soap opera ? Remember the song ? The chorus would go “If ever you’re in my arms again, this time I’ll love you much better.” I used to sing it “If ever you’re in my arms again, this time I’ll love you Mas Peter”. Okay I was being stupid, but what did u expect from a 6 year old, and English listening lesson was HARD.
14. I had never fallen during bicycle riding lesson. Not even once. U could say I’m talented. LOL
15. When my mom was pregnant with me, I was diagnosed to be a boy. The chances were 90%. And I was born a girl. My mom didn’t believe my dad when he told her that I was a girl.
16. I had never had mother’s milk.
17. I have been to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, UK, France, Germany (for transit only), Netherlands and Vienna, long before I ever set my foot in Bali. I used to get teased just because I have never been to Bali but I flew nearly across the globe. But now I can proudly say.. I HAVE been to Bali ! Yay !!
18. I have never been to a karaoke place / bar until I was 25.
19. My parents’ names start with an “H”. My brothers’ names start with an “H”. I was about to be named “Sherly” when my mom decided “let’s have an all ‘H’ family”. So.. that’s why my name is.. Herli.
20. My childhood dream was to become a stewardess.. Well, who knew I was going to be a web-developer, instead ?
21. The youngest memory I had, was that I was in Tangkuban Perahu. I was about 2 years old.
22. I was almost become an anorexia girl, when I was in junior high. I was so skinny and I felt proud because of it. That was behind me, though. Hey look at me. I’m not skinny at all. I’m a bit chubby and I’m comfortable by that fact.
23. I’m a Buddhist. Not by marriage, but by learning.
24. I used to have low self esteem just because I’m taller than other girls in school. But I’m very comfortable with my appearance now.
25. I define myself as Type 1 in Enneagram. The perfectionist. I am the “save-the-world” type of person.
